About Objects has been a proud and faithful supporter of Bridges from School to Work, a Marriott family nonprofit with a mission to help young adults with disabilities find meaningful and competitive employment.
In late May, several About Objects members were thrilled to be in attendance at this year’s Bridges Gala. In addition to connecting with the co-chair, Richard Marriott, our team was treated to a keynote address from Tony award-winner, Ali Stroker, who dramatically sang her way onto the stage.
Stroker and Marriott then co-presented the Stephen G. Marriott Youth Achievement Award to Ku Say who’s vibrant personality and sense of humor underscored the depth of her appreciation for the organization.
Though it’s been several weeks since the Gala, Stroker’s uplifting message on turning limitations into opportunities, along with Ku’s inspirational journey, continue to resonate with all who were there.
