On Monday, June 16, several team members from About Objects gathered at the Marriott Marquis in Washington, D.C. to attend the 2025 Bridges Gala to celebrate opportunity, achievement, and inclusion.
As a Premier Sponsor, About Objects is honored to continue its support of the Bridges from School to Work, a national nonprofit dedicated to helping young people with disabilities transition successfully from school to the workforce. Through this ongoing support, About Objects joins a passionate community committed to empowering youth with meaningful careers.
The evening began with a cocktail reception, fostering connections and lively conversations among guests and sponsors. Attendees then moved into the ballroom for welcome remarks from the Gala co-chair Mr. Richard Marriott, and several others, setting a warm and celebratory tone for the evening.
A video presentation followed, highlighting the experiences of a several young adults who have benefited from Bridges’ mission. Their stories offered a view into the impact of meaningful employment opportunities along with support from Bridges coaches, help participants build confidence, independence, and obtain fulfilling careers.
Tony-nominated actress Lauren Ridloff delivered the keynote address. Known for her groundbreaking roles on stage and screen, Ridloff brought a message of advocacy, empowerment, and perseverance—deeply resonating with the spirit of Bridges’ mission.
The evening concluded with the presentation of the Stephen G. Marriott Youth Achievement Honoree Award, recognizing a remarkable young woman who is actively achieving her career goals with the support of the Bridges team. It was a touching close to a night filled with stories of determination, resilience, and hope.
